Other Eyes
November 16, 2017
For the informal other eyes reflection, I decided to ask the vice principle of Delview Secondary where I am placed for my long-term practicum. The class I was observed for is the grade 10 class where we have just moved onto the genetics unit. The learning target for this class was for students to review monohybrid, review complete dominance, continue to develop their ability to use a Punnett square, and learn the concepts of incomplete and codominance....
Teacher On Call
November 02, 2017
For today’s TTOC, I was placed at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary with a science 10 class and 2 physics 11 class. My first initial reaction was excited because I was placed back at Churchill where I had done my short-term practicum. Therefore, I didn’t feel as comfortable because I knew several teachers at the school. However, my anxiety level did increase because of the idea of teaching physics 11 which is not my science subject area....
Professional Development Day
October 22, 2017

Therefore, getting as much exposure to ABED learning as possible and as educators we must develop a clear commitment to lifelong and life wide learning (PDP goal 2)....

Module Day 2

Credo, Bloom’s Taxonomy, & 405 Expectation
It’s the end of day 2 of module and I feel the pressure and the stress, especially after the discussion we had in class about what’s to come and 405 expectation regarding work and assignment that needs to be done. We started the day of with reflecting back on our credo which to be honest I was not too excited about because I am one of those individuals who struggle with getting my point across through writing. In addition....
First Day of Module: Bowen Island
September 06, 2017
What does coming together in a setting like the one we experience today bring to a community? Why and how will you use “place” in your teaching?
Today was the first day of the last semester of PDP. The emotions I am feeling are both really excited on how close I am on achieving the goal that I have had since high school, but at the same time...
